MINIMISE THE VISIBILITY OF FINE LINES AND RESTORE YOUR YOUTHFUL GLOW
Age-line Reduction
As our skin ages, a decrease in collagen and increase in skin laxity causes fine lines and wrinkles to appear. Luxury Aesthetics uses non-invasive cosmetic treatments to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. By targeting the facial muscles, skin is smoothed and softened – appearing noticeably rejuvenated. Our age-line reduction treatments can be used to reduce or preventatively halt the visible signs of ageing and are suitable for both men and women.
NON-INVASIVE TREATMENTS
The age-lines targeted with our treatments include both static lines (lines that are visible at rest) and dynamic lines (visible with facial expression). The most common treatment areas are the forehead, frown and around the eyes.
During your Luxury Aesthetics consultation, we will assess the status of your skin, to help you select the best course of treatment for your unique requirements. Please note, that people under the age of 18, pregnant and/or breastfeeding are not suitable for age-line reduction treatments.

The results of age-line reduction treatments are temporary, typically lasting an average of 3-4 months for most individuals. However, this duration can vary from person to person. The full effects are usually noticeable after 2 weeks, and the results gradually diminish over time.
The outcome and longevity of the treatment depend on several factors, including the individual, the amount of product used, the strength of the treated muscles, the injection site, and the frequency of treatments. For those seeking a more subtle look, a lower dose may be preferable, but it's important to note that lower doses may result in a shorter duration of effects.

There is no specific age to begin your journey with age-line reduction treatments. However, these treatments cannot be administered to individuals under 18 years of age, or to those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. In general, maintaining healthy skin through proper skincare and consistent sun protection can help slow the development of wrinkles over time.
-
Unfortunately, age-line reduction treatments cannot be administered during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. This is because no clinical trials have been conducted to assess the safety of these treatments for pregnant or breastfeeding women, meaning there could be potential risks to you or your baby.
-
Before proceeding with your treatment, an initial in-clinic consultation is required. During this consultation, your nurse will assess your needs to determine if age-line reduction treatments are the most suitable option for your concerns. A thorough evaluation will be conducted, along with a personalised quote based on the areas to be treated. You will also sign a consent form to confirm your understanding of the procedure, including any potential risks and complications.
Additionally, a phone consultation with a doctor will be arranged to prescribe the necessary medication, as age-line reduction treatments involve a Schedule 4 (S4) medication that requires a prescription. This prescription is valid for 12 months and must be renewed once it expires.

After your age-line reduction treatment, we recommend following these guidelines to help ensure optimal results and reduce the risk of side effects:
Remain upright for 4 hours after your treatment.
You may experience redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising (rare) at the injection sites. These symptoms are normal and should resolve within a few days.
Avoid applying makeup to the treated area for 12 hours.
When cleansing or removing makeup, gently pat the treated areas dry instead of rubbing or massaging them. Follow this precaution for 24 hours post-treatment.
Keep the treated areas clean to prevent infection, and avoid unnecessary touching for 24 hours.
To minimise bruising, refrain from excessive alcohol consumption or vigorous exercise for 24 hours.
Avoid facials or face-down massages for 24 hours.
Steer clear of strenuous exercise, spas, and saunas for 24 hours.
Limit exposure to excessive heat and sunlight for 48 hours.
Age-line reduction treatments typically begin to take effect within 3-4 days, with full results visible after 2 weeks. The timing may vary based on muscle strength and individual response, with some people experiencing faster or slower results.
If you have any concerns about your treatment or potential side effects, please contact the clinic for support and advice.
For first-time clients, a follow-up appointment will be offered 2 weeks after your treatment. If a stronger dose or any adjustments are needed, they can be made during this review.
