REVITALISE YOUR SKIN’S GLOW WITH THE POWER OF PLATELET-RICH PLASMA
Platelet-Rich Plasma Skin Rejuvenation
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) skin rejuvenation is a revolutionary and natural approach to restoring your skin’s radiance. PRP uniquely targets skin at the cellular level. By harnessing the regenerative properties of platelets derived from your own blood, PRP stimulates skin rejuvenation of target areas of your skin.
NON-INVASIVE TREATMENTS
A PRP treatment begins with the extraction of blood from your arm. This blood is then treated to separate out its platelet-rich plasma from other blood components. The resulting concentrated product is subsequently injected and/or microneedled using SkinPen Precision into your target skin areas.
Through harnessing your own body’s healing mechanisms, your skin is revitalised, resulting in a more vibrant, glowing and youthful appearance.

FAQ
-
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) are small colourless cell fragments within the blood which contain hundreds of growth factor proteins. These naturally occurring proteins work to stimulate and rejuvenate skin cells. When directed to target areas, growth factors can speed up the regeneration of new skin cells and increase collagen and elastin production. Skin elasticity, laxity and moisture are improved, resulting in a smoother texture and reduction of the appearance of fine lines, scars and wrinkles.
Please note, that people under the age of 18, pregnant and/or breastfeeding are not suitable for PRP treatments.

Before proceeding with PRP, you will attend an in-person consultation with a Luxury Aesthetics nurse to assess your needs. This consultation will determine if PRP is the most effective treatment option for your concerns. If it is, you will complete a comprehensive assessment and treatment plan and be provided a quote based on your requirements.

Results from PRP last on average 6–12 months. Individual results will vary depending on factors including general health, age, skin type, diet, smoking and alcohol consumption.
Optimal PRP results are achieved through repeated treatments which produce cumulative benefits as the skin is stimulated to repair and renew. Initial results may appear subtle. After 1–2 months, you should start to notice skin appears younger, softer and more supple.
For best results it is recommended PRP treatments are initially performed once per month for 3 months, followed by 2 maintenance treatments per year.
If you are planning PRP for a special occasion, it is recommended to time your treatment to occur 4 months prior the occasion.

Before you commence PRP treatment, please follow the below:
Conduct a comprehensive medical consultation with a Luxury Aesthetics nurse to discuss your medical history, allergies and medications.
Do not take anti-inflammatory medications including Ibuprofen, Vitamin E, fish oil, garlic, turmeric, gingko biloba or other for 1–2 weeks prior to treatment, to reduce possible risk of bruising. * Please note, make sure to check with your doctor before you stop any regular medication.
Limit your consumption of alcohol or smoking for at least 1 week prior to treatment.
Drink plenty of water in the 48 hours prior to treatment.
-
After your PRP treatment, it is important that you keep your skin hydrated. Microneedling causes a temporary increase in water loss so keeping your skin hydrated and protected during this period will assist your recovery.
For the first week after treatment, only use the skincare products your clinician provides. Avoid using any other active skincare topical products as these can interfere with healing.
For 24 hours post-treatment avoid wearing makeup.
For 72 hours post-treatment, do not apply any suncream and minimise sun exposure.
For 72 hours post-treatment, avoid swimming, strenuous exercise, spas/saunas or excessive perspiration, as excess blood flow and sweat can cause discomfort and irritation to the compromised skin.
Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
Antihistamines can be taken the day of and up to three days post-treatment.

Side effects from PRP are usually minimal. The most reported potential side effects are mild discomfort, redness or swelling at the injection sites. Due to the autologous nature of this treatment, the risks of serious side effects and allergic reactions are reduced. PRP is also a safe treatment option eliminating the risk of allergic reactions or transmission of infections. Patients can return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure.
